Our benefits program delivers real value to our employees because it is designed to meet their individual needs and circumstances. The plans and options outlined below are just part of our package for U.S. employees. Dunkin’ Brands also offers competitive base salaries, incentive pay opportunities, retirement programs, and additional voluntary benefits that allow employees to enjoy a high quality of life and personal success.
Please note that the information listed below is a brief summary of the benefits available to U.S. employees of Dunkin' Brands. Any or all of these benefits may be modified, eliminated, or replaced. The terms of the particular benefit plan take precedence in the case of any discrepancy.
Medical Coverage: Dunkin' Brands offers a choice of comprehensive medical and prescription drug plans, designed to provide employees and their dependents with the most appropriate care for their medical needs. Spouses, dependent children, domestic partners, and dependent children of domestic partners are eligible dependents. Coverage cost is shared by the Company and the employee.
Dental Coverage: Dunkin' Brands offers two dental plan options that include coverage for preventive care, major and minor restorative care, and orthodontia. Coverage cost is shared by the Company and the employee.
Vision Coverage: Dunkin' Brands offers a voluntary vision insurance plan that offers coverage for hardware and allows employees to take advantage of great discounts on laser vision correction and non-covered lens options. This benefit is employee paid.
Basic Life Insurance: Dunkin’ Brands provides coverage equal to two times the employee's annual base pay (up to a maximum of $800,000), which is Company paid. Employee paid supplemental life insurance is also available.
Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D): In the event of an accidental injury or death, Dunkin’ Brands provides coverage equal to two times the employee's annual base pay (up to a maximum of $800,000), which is also Company paid. Employee paid supplemental AD&D coverage is also available.
Short-term Disability (STD): After 3 months of service, Dunkin’ Brands provides 100 percent of an employee’s pre-disability weekly pay for up to 8 weeks and 60 percent for up to the next 17 weeks if the employee is unable to work due to disability or illness. Benefits become payable after five consecutive days of disability. This benefit is also Company paid.
Long-term Disability (LTD): Employees may elect to purchase two LTD options, either 60 percent or 50 percent of their monthly base pay. This benefit is employee paid.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA): Dunkin' Brands offers health care and dependent care FSAs for payment of eligible health and dependent care expenses with tax-free dollars.
Long-term Care Insurance: This is an optional benefit that can help employees manage the cost of care if an employee or a family member of an employee becomes ill and can no longer function independently. This benefit maybe extended to eligible family members and is employee paid.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Dunkin’ Brands provides employees with confidential counseling, information, and referrals on a wide range of concerns, ranging from stress or anxiety, work and family issues, legal consultations and elder care. Telephone assistance is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to employees and their household members. This benefit is Company paid.
401 (k) Plan: Dunkin’ Brands offers employees a convenient way to save for their future using pre-tax dollars. The Company matches dollar-for-dollar up to the first 4 percent of an employee’s contribution
Tuition Reimbursement: After 6 months of service, Dunkin’ Brands provides up to $5,000 reimbursement (for tuition only) to employees who complete approved undergraduate or graduate level courses under the program's eligibility guidelines.
Paid Time Off:
Vacation: Dunkin' Brands provides 3 weeks of vacation time per year that begins accruing upon an employee’s date of hire. The provision increases to 4 weeks after 10 years and 5 weeks after 15 years.
Holidays: All employees who work a minimum of 21 hours per week are provided with 11 paid holidays per calendar year.
Sick Time: Dunkin’ Brands provides 8 sick days per year, which are pro-rated for an employee’s first year of service.
Personal Time: In addition to vacation and sick time, Dunkin’ Brands provides employees with 2 personal days per year, which are also pro-rated for an employee’s first year of service.
Bereavement: All employees are eligible for up to 3 paid days off due to the loss of a family member. Additional days may be available if the employee needs to make funeral arrangements or to travel out of the area.
In addition to the benefits listed above, employees are also eligible for a variety of discount programs, including but not limited to group auto and homeowners insurance, bulk coffee purchasing, pet insurance, PerksCard program, discounted movie tickets and museum and aquarium passes.
